IN MEMORY OF TATE HANKLA

​It is with heavy hearts and condolences that we share news of the passing of Tate Hankla. We lost Tate suddenly on May 3rd, 2020. 

We are so grateful for the memories we have of Tate and the beautiful times he spent with us as a dedicated member of Project Makeover at the University of Florida. Tate had a passion for helping others and a deep commitment to the mission of our organization: to create dynamic learning environments for elementary school students. 

Tate was a member of our landscaping team and spent many hours beautifying Norton Elementary during the 2020 Makeover Weekend. In Project Makeover, Tate was known for his eagerness to help and ability to build friendships and community within our organization. 

Project Makeover will plant a tree in Tate’s honor at our 2021 school site. Details about the tree dedication will be released in the coming months.
