For us, Makeover Weekend means seeing our year-long initiative come together and creating an imaginative learning environment for elementary school students. This February, we will bring new opportunities to the Norton school community. And we couldn’t do this without the support of over 1,000 volunteers during Makeover weekend.
For Mackenzie Kline, a UF junior and avid Project Makeover volunteer, Makeover weekend proves to her that education is one of the most important things in life, a lesson her mother — a teacher — instilled in her while growing up. “A good childhood education experience is crucial to one’s development and I have felt so lucky to be a small part of this by volunteering at PM,” she said. “Beautifying campuses each year by creating murals has been such a fantastic experience. I can’t wait to volunteer again and see the result of this year’s makeover.” Makeover Weekend means creating beautiful learning spaces for tomorrow’s leaders. Pretty amazing. Come be a part of it. Join us at Makeover Weekend Feb. 21st-23rd at Norton Elementary. Sign up to volunteer here.
